I'm Ginny, the person behind the The Little Sugar Rose's award-winning wedding cakes and sugar flowers. Based on the beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk border, I specialise in creating timeless, elegant and romantic wedding cakes for couples across the East of England. My creations have been featured in leading bridal magazines and wedding blogs and when not working on commissions I run cake decorating and sugar flower classes from my showroom at Earsham Hall, Norfolk and am a guest tutor at the Braxted Park Cookery School, Essex and The Food Hub Cookery School, Suffolk.
I've had a love of baking for as long as I can remember, standing on a chair next to my mother in her kitchen while she baked tasty treats and I waited patiently for the wooden spoon! I set up my business in 2017 after discovering a passion for creating exquisite sugar flowers. Often mistaken for real flowers I cut, shape and hand craft each petal by hand into beautiful sugar flowers to complement a couple’s fresh florals.
Before becoming a wedding cake designer I trained as a lawyer but needed an outlet for my creative spirit. Designing and creating wedding cakes has been that and so very much more! I decided to follow my dreams and making one of a kind luxury wedding cakes is now my full-time occupation. I love combining subtle colour palettes and my renowned sugar flowers with flawless finishes, immaculate attention to detail and providing an entirely professional and personal bespoke service for each couple I work with. I truly love what I do, in fact working with a couple to create their dream wedding cake and bringing their vision to life is quite simply the icing on the (beautifully iced) cake!
